- Have techs shut off the water supply to the furnace humidifier in summer. In fall (or when you anticipate turning on the heat), have the humidifier wick filter replaced, set the humidistat to between 35% and 40% relative humidity, and turn on the water supply.
- Never close more than 20% of your buildings registers. T o avoid placing unnecessary strain on the HVAC system.
- Have the techs replace any necessary batteries to your system. Making sure that all the batteries are fully charged means no disruption in your thermostat.
